HURT CLINCHES SOUTH DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
Revenge is sweet as HURT clinches the South Division title of the Red River Rugby Conference and eliminates Shreveport from playoff contention. A year earlier, it was Shreveport who knocked out HURT’s chances from entering the post-season. To give credit to the opposition, it was a hard fought match in soaking weather conditions. The win gives HURT back-to-back championships in the South and is guaranteed a playoff berth in May. HURT continues to dominate at home with a perfect record of 10-0 since its inauguration. With the final home game in the books for the 2013-2014 season, HURT travels to Bay Area and Alamo City and looks to further solidify its stranglehold in the South and cushion its lead for the #1 seed in the playoffs.
Special thanks to the Railyard Houston Neighborhood Bar for hosting the post-match festivities and to HURT winger Jason Blocker for providing and cooking deliciously grilled burgers.
Final Score: HURT 43 SHREVEPORT 10

HURT SUFFERS FIRST LOSS OF THE SEASON
It was a tough loss for HURT as they succumbed to the bitter cold and wet weather conditions of Oklahoma. OKC took advantage of HURT’s needless penalties and while the score was close throughout the entire match, the Crusaders broke the line in the final minutes to solidify their win. Hats off to OKC; it was a hard fought battle. HURT will keep their heads high and learn from this loss.
Final Score: HURT 15 OKC 28
HURT looks for retribution on March 15th when they host Shreveport. HURT still holds the #1 seed and controls their own destiny. Come out to support Houston rugby as the final stretch to the playoffs begins.
